Prevent Breast Cancer
Virtual Night In
Prevent Breast Cancer is the UKs only breast cancer charity funding ground-breaking research solely aimed at preventing the disease for future generations. Each year they undertake a series of fundraising and awareness boosting events, ranging from sponsored sports challenges to campaigns such as Breast Fest. However, in 2020 with the majority of live events no longer possible, but fundraising still as necessary as ever, Prevent Breast Cancer refused to let the current climate prevent them from doing what they do best. Instead they devised a plan to host their very first virtual Sunday Night In. Working alongside Event Management Company Saving Grace Events we were asked to provide our technical support in producing an entertainment-based show to help raise the much-needed funds and continue to grow the awareness surrounding the cause. The Sunday night in was to be an exciting extravaganza of celebrity guest appearances, musical performances and heartfelt interviews; all brought together and streamed out live to households across the country for people to enjoy from the comfort and safety of their own sofa.
On the 23rd August show day had arrived and live from Sterling Studio we provided full technical production management during the lead up and throughout. Prior to the big day we hosted several pre-recording sessions, allowing for celebrities and acts to record at their convenience, and then seamlessly integrated post production versions into the live show during streaming. We also developed a bespoke website platform for us to both live stream the event in HD to 100s of households, and then provide the ability for viewers to watch the Sunday Night In on demand.
Hosted by Michelle Eagleton and Scott Wright the night was a 2-hour spectacular featuring the likes of Kym Marsh, Sally Dynevor, DJ sets by Dean Fagan and Manchester legend Clint boon and much more. The Studio provided the perfect backdrop for the occasion and enabled us to produce a sleek and professional evening of entertainment with video links for interviews with remote guests, set changes, DJ sets, the incorporation of pre-recorded content and the extra production value that ensured the night was one to remember.
Overall, the Sunday Night In was a great success and was watched by 100s of households across the country. Viewers were entertained, educated, and inspired making for a fantastic evening of fundraising.
